You get yourself some basic home equipment at a sporting goods store or online and set it up and begin making those gains. The gains come steadily during the first 6 months to a year, and then you hit what we call the environmental wall. No matter what the circumstance, you need the stimuli of others to reach your ultimate goals, even if just being the best you. In today's age some are trying to mimic that with artificial gimmicks that try to create a competitive virtual environment around you, but those to eventually fade. We dare say it, but in order to reach your ultimate goals your gonna have to interact with other human beings. Just being in the atmosphere will elevate your progress well above what you can achieve on your own or with virtual reality gimmicks. In this day6 and age of the fad diets or should we say eating plans out there one thing seems to be becoming kind of prevalent with allot of them. It's the absence of eating beef. You read allot about how eating to much red meat will kill you and the saturated fats are going to clog your arteries and give you a heart attack before you turn 40! We say WOOO to all this Bull Shit. We will grant you the scientific evidence has solidified the link between high-fat, meat-based diets and increased risks of chronic diseases such as cancer and heart disease and such but there are many underlying features here that contribute to these diseases also. Than there are the moral or ethical reasons and those we DON"T dispute at ALL. The industry (Corporate Farming) has gotten way, way out of bounds with it treatment of the animals, drugs, and profit at all cost mentality. Over our last 15+ years of existence we have not come across one thing that can replace beef in a bodybuilding, powerlifting or strongman diet program. NOT ONE! Sure there are many different forms of protein out on the market, many plant based at that, but even with the cobbling together of amino acids the spill over on amino acids and such make them not as good. For the strength athlete looking to gain good body mass and power eating 4-6 ounces of good grass feed organic beef 3-4 times a week is not gonna come close to giving you any of these scary diseases mentioned earlier. Oh yeah for the sake of good eating practices use rice and fibrous vegetables along in the meal to aide digestion and provide a complete and healthy nutrition profile.

  • Buy Organic if possible
  • Always Buy Grass Feed
  • Get at least 80/20 or better Protein to Fat Ratio
  • Always consume with steamed vegetables such as Broccoli, Cauliflower, Carrots, or Green Beans - Skip the potatoes.
  • Sip water during your meal, don't chug it and don't drink over 12 onces of liquid as this interferes with digestion.

Chrysin is the chemical name for a type of isoflavone molecule that has been demonstrated to be a potent aromatazation blocker. In other words, Chrysin minimizes the conversion of testosterone to either estrogen or DHT (dihyrdotestosterone). Chrysin is extracted from a fairly rare plant called the Passiflora Caerula. It is a natural extract yet more powerful than most anti-aromatase drugs you might be familiar with.

Chrysin belongs to the flavone class of flavonoids. Chrysin is found naturally in various plants including the Pelargonium species, which are germanium-like plants; the Passiflora or passion flower species, which include tropical passion fruit; and the Pinaceae species, including pine trees. Chrysin is a potent antioxidant that possesses vitamin-like effects in the body. It has been shown to induce an antiinflammatory effect, possibly through inhibition of the enzymes 5-lipoxygenase and cyclooxygenase inflammation pathways.

Chrysin (5, 7-dihydroxyflavone) belongs to a biologically active class known as bioflavonoids. Chrysin has been isolated from Passiflora plants, such as P. coerulea (used as a sedative in folklore medicine)1 and P. incarnate (maracuja "passion flower" which is well known in traditional medicine for its diverse biological effects). The effects of Chrysin include anti-inflammatory action, antiviral (including anti-HIV) action, vasodilatory effects and anxiety-reducing action. Chrysin has also been shown to have a potential role in drug metabolism and the chemoprevention of carcinogenesis. Laboratory studies, on in vitro and animal models, revealed that Chrysin inhibited the secretion of lysosomal enzymes and arachidonic acid, as well as the degranulation of mast cells, thereby reducing inflammation.

Chrysin's aromatase-inhibiting effects have made it popular among some body builders and athletes who use androgens. Very preliminary research suggests that chrysin may emerge as a useful anxiolytic agent, that it might aid in the control of morphine withdrawl and that it might have some chemopreventive properties in cardiovascular disease and cancer.

Chrysin happens is a very good inhibitor of aromatase, the enzyme in the body that converts testosterone into estradiol, and androstenedione into estrone. When this enzyme is inhibited, testosterone (as well as androstenedione) will tend to accumulate to higher concentrations. Indeed, numerous studies have shown that levels of testosterone rise when the action of the aromatase enzyme is blocked. It therefore comes as no surprise that chrysin is popular among athletes and other people eager to increase their testosterone levels, often in conjunction with supplemental testosterone precursors. Doses of 500-1000 mg three times per day are typically used.

Does this have a role in improved athletic performance? - Today's bodybuilders and competitive athletes are always looking for ways to boost their natural testosterone levels. Of coarse there's DHEA, Tribulus terrastis, and androstenedione (to name a few), which supply raw materials for the production of testosterone. Now there's another way! Our bodies naturally convert some amounts of testosterone into estrogen (aromatization), a process which accelerates as testosterone levels go up. Chrysin works by minimizing this conversion! Chrysin is the "anti-aromatization" if you will. This is great news for those who want to enhance their muscle building ability! Because chrysin is not an essential nutrient, it is not associated with deficiency.

How much should be taken? Are there any side effects? - European Olympic athletes report 1-3 grams of chrysin per day is a safe and effective dose. Follow the directions and dosages on the bottles below. For best results, it is recommended to take one half one hour before working out and the other half at bedtime. With proper supplementation, there have been no reported side effects.

Recipe of the Month - Grilled Halibut!

Grilled Halibut!

Ingredients List:

Making Your Sauce:
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in heavy small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add your minced garlic, chile and sweet onion to the pan; saute until fragrant and light golden, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add in soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, vinegar, and 3 tablespoons water and bring to boil, stirring until everything dissolves.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and simmer until mixture is reduced to 3/4 cup, about 5 minutes (sauce will be thin).
  5. Remove barbecue sauce from heat; whisk in sesame oil.
  6. Transfer 1/4 cup barbecue sauce to small bowl and reserve for serving.
Grilling Your Fish:
  1. Prepare Barbecue Grill - adjust to medium heat.
  2. Brush fish with about 1-2 tablespoon olive oil; sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper and a light dusting of Old Bey seasoning.
  3. Place your fish on grill light brushing with sauce.
  4. Let grill about a few minutes before turning, around 2-3 minutes, and brush again with sauce. Repeat this processes until done.
  5. Grill fish until tender and slightly charred on both side. Depending on thickness this should be about 7-8 minutes total cooking time.
  6. Fish is done when the center is slightly off-white or opaque in the middle. Turning occasionally and brushing with sauce just helps to seal in this flavor.

Transfer your fish to plater, sprinkle with chopped chive and drizzle with the reserved sauce and serve.

Arms are by far one of the muscular areas of the body that interest the greatest number of bodybuilders. This workout builds mass, shape and definition all in one!

To most bodybuilders arms are by far, the number 1 area of the body that holds the greatest interest and admoration. Even with limited time and less perfect training equipment both the beginner and advanced bodybuilder will somehow find the wherewithal to include some type of arm work in his or her schedule. As a result of this fascination with arms many new and innovative training routines are constantly being brought to the attention of the Arms -happy public.

A training system which allows a terrific muscle pump, increases core strength due to the use of heavy weights and can be completed in a short period of time is called the Two for One System. Here is how it works. You perform two sets of six reps of an exercise, with one minute rest between them. Then immediately following the second set, do one set of another exercise using ten to twelve reps. The first exercise should be of an isolated nature; the second one a compound exercise that uses both the muscle that you are training with assistance of other associated muscles.

This method of training is particularly effective on triceps that stubbornly refuse to pump up or grow. If you enjoy training heavy and light, then you will enjoy using the Two for One System. Here is a workout that has proven effective in overcoming many a sticking points:

Triceps

  1. Dips — 2 Sets of 15-20 reps (Warmup)
  2. Lying Tricep Extensions — 3-4 sets of 6-8 Reps (one minute rest)
  3. Close Grip Bench Press — 3-4 sets of 10-12 reps
  4. Tricep Pushdowns (Straight Bar) — 3 sets of 6-8 reps (one minute rest)
  5. Overhead Dumbbell Extensions - 2-3 sets of 10-12 reps

Biceps

  1. Dumbbell Hammer Curls - 2-3 Sets 10-12 reps (Warmup)
  2. Preacher Bench EZ bar Curls — 3-4 sets of 6-8 reps (one minute rest)
  3. Bent forward, Barbell Concentration Curls — 2 sets of 10-12 reps
  4. Incline Dumbbel Curls - 3-4 sets of 6-8 reps (one minute rest)
  5. Shoulder width Reverse Grip Chins — 2 sets of 10-12 reps

There are many variations of this type of training which can be used to increase the intensity of the workout. To greatly intensify the workload you can finish off your last set of each exercise by doing about ten single reps with about 30 seconds between each one. Alter your last possible rep, start reducing the weight of the bar and do descending sets for three or more reps until you can not possibly move your arms.

A short, fast productive training session like this will leave your arms flushed, bloated and you will have a sense of accomplishment as you look forward to your next training session.
